CBD Freeze

CBD Living Freeze is a cold therapy, airless pump or roll-on, gel infused with Broad-Spectrum Nano CBD that can be applied locally to inflamed or painful muscles. Soothing menthol creates a “cooling” effect, while CBD penetrates the skin for immediate relief. Utilizing their Proprietary Skin Retention Technology allows nutrients to better penetrate the layers of the skin, and stay on the skin longer, for lasting relief. Available in a convenient 1oz travel-friendly container, small enough to stick in a pocket or a purse.

CBD Tincture – CBD Oil Drops

CBD Living Tinctures are easy and convenient, and can be taken directly under the tongue or mixed with food and beverages. Experienced CBD users can use tinctures to get the highest possible CBD concentrations available - up to 10,000 mg.Utilizing our Proprietary Self Emulsifying Technology allows oil soluble nutrients, including our broad spectrum CBD, to be delivered in an oil formulation. As soon as the oil hits the stomach’s aqueous media, a water soluble micelle structure is formed with a particle size of <100 nanometers. The droplets are carried from the lymphatic system directly to the bloodstream for fast, sustained relief. Available in a variety of strengths: 100mg Travel Spray, 100mg, 300mg, 750mg, 1500mg, 4500mg, and 10,000mg.

cbdMD Launches Travel-Size CBD Topicals for C-Stores

October 2020

cbdMD, one of the leading brands in the CBD industry, is rolling out travel-size versions of its popular CBD topicals specifically for convenience stores.

The company has already made itself an essential player by selling directly to consumers and through specialty retailers. Its CBD Freeze Pain Relief Gel won a Product of the Year award back in February for its combination of broad-spectrum CBD extracts, menthol, and soothing herbs in a roll-on applicator.

Now C-store owners can buy travel-friendly bottles of Freeze from cbdMD’s wholesale website. Each bottle contains 100 mg of CBD or 50 mg per ounce.

cbdMD is also offering a two-ounce squeeze tube of CBD Recover Pain-Relieving Formula. This cream also contains 100 mg of CBD and histamine dihydrochloride, the same working ingredient in the Australian Dream and Golden Creme.

Both products are indicated for temporary relief of joint pain, muscle aches, and back pain.

Wholesale customers can also get display boxes and other swag from cbdMD.com to help catch buyers’ attention.

cbdMD scored top marks in unaided brand awareness when industry researcher the Brightfield Group surveyed customers late last year. In particular, sports fans may have noticed it due to high-profile endorsements by golf star Bubba Watson and Olympian Lolo Jones, among others.

The company also distinguishes itself from its Superior Broad Spectrum formula, which combines pure CBD with other cannabinoids and hemp terpenes while keeping THC levels undetectable.

But admittedly, it’s getting into the C-store market a bit later than some of its competitors. cbdMD says that’s because it took the trouble to do some research before jumping in.

“We were late in offering these products because we had them specifically engineered to perform in the convenience store market,” said Yoshi Tochiki, the company's Wholesale Product Development Manager. "When our competitors launched full-size products in these markets, we waited and found that smaller offerings do better in these environments."

Tochiki also touts the value proposition, saying that cbdMD offers a better price per milligram of CBD than other leading brands.

The CBD market has stayed attractive for C-store owners, proving resistant even to the current recession. In an August report, the Brightfield Group forecast 14.3% growth in the U.S. hemp-derived CBD market this year and noted that many CBD users increased their intake due to stress from the pandemic.

The Rise of Hemp & CBD in C-Stores

The Hemp and CBD Industry Looks to Convenience for Growth

February 2020

The Hemp and CBD industry continues to grow in the wake of the 2018 Farm Bill. According to the 2019 Hemp & CBD Industry Factbook, CBD sales grew 133% in 2019 and exceeded $1 billion in sales. Factbook credits this growth in mainstream retail locations with the big increase in sales. Before the Farm Bill, CBD products were mostly regulated to specialty shops – like marijuana dispensaries, tobacco shops and natural grocery. However, once hemp was removed from the Controlled Substances Act, CBD began to infiltrate mainstream retail, like drugstores and convenience stores.

CBD producers want to continue to grow. They want their products to move beyond dispensaries, head shops or nice specialty retailers to the mainstream. According to Kristen Nichols, editor of Hemp Industry Daily, “there’s no way to do that without getting traction in convenience stores.” CBD has started showing up in c-store but according to Factbook, the segment has not yet seen significant penetration.

But with over 154,000 retail locations, CBD companies are seeing what a huge potential the convenience space is. “The convenience channel is the most tantalizing opportunity available to the current CBD market, and one cannabis entrepreneurs are desperate to access,” Nichols states. For c-store retailers, the CBD channel is uncharted territory. Some retailers don’t know where to start or what it all means. One of the most important aspects of this is understanding the CBD consumer. Who are these consumers? What are they looking for?

Consumer interest in CBD and hemp products continues to grow and is expected to explode in 2020. 1 in 4 Americans say they use CBD products daily or as-needed basis, and about 40% of U.S. adults 21 and over indicate a willingness to explore CBD under the right conditions. Since the interest in CBD products continues to increase, there are several insights to keep in mind:

• 28% of Americans report using CBD products daily or as needed.

• Pain, mental health and general wellness are the key reasons cited for usage.

• The consumers currently driving Hemp and CBD sales are mostly female (6 in 10), have families (1 in 3), are                  under 35 years old (1 in 3), and are more suburban and rural than urban.

• Popular product types include baked goods, gummies, vape cartridges, beauty care, concentrated oil, candy,       topicals, chocolate, vape oil, vape pen, pill, tincture, beverage, concentrates and honey.

• Baked goods are the most popular type among CBD users (40%).

• Key attributes consumers consider when shopping for CBD products include product form (52%), potency (41%), CBD derivation (40%), price (39%), onset time (39%), duration (26%), flavor (21%), and brand (19%).

The global cannabis infused market is expected to grow by $17.27 billion by 2022 according to market research group, Technavio. The market is being driven by social acceptance of cannabis products. C-store retailers will continue to see the growth in this category and should start capitalizing on the opportunity now!
